Tokyo Disneyland

Opened in 1983, Tokyo Disneyland is a single theme park in the world that attracts locals as well as tourists.

In the mid 1990s, plans were put in place to expand Tokyo Disneyland from a theme park to a full- fledged resort. The Tokyo Disney Resort grew up around Tokyo Disneyland in a big way.

The Disney Resort Line is great not only as transportation to various areas of Tokyo Disney Resort but also for general sightseeing
It is owned and operated by The Oriental Land Company with a license from The Walt Disney Company.

The resort was opened as a single theme park (Tokyo Disneyland), but developed into a resort with two theme parks, two (Disney) hotels, and one shopping complexes. Tokyo Disneyland was the first Disney theme park opened outside the United States.

Tokyo Disney Resort has three main entertainment sections: Tokyo Disneyland; Tokyo Disney Sea; and Ikspiari.
