Kodokan Judo Institute is a Japanese martial arts school located in Tokyo that offers instruction in Japanese and English.

This Institute runs programs of masters in judo. The program is authorized as a non regular school by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government. Its courses include the theories and practice of Judo and matters of general education.

The Kodokan was founded in 1882 by the late Prof. Kano who himself had established Judo. Prof. Kano adopted the superlative parts of all the Jujitsu schools, got rid of precarious parts, and established the new Kodokan Judo based on his own insight and arrangement. It started with only nine disciples and a twelve- mat dojo.

The course is divided into two, general course for novices and special courses for those who have completed the general course or its equivalent. In Adult Division, it is planned so as to make one attain the First Dan after finishing three months in the general course and nine months in a special course. The boys Division is open for children over 6 years.

The classes are held from Monday through Saturday. Kodokan is closed on Sundays and national holidays.
