Kitazawa

It is one of the largest book store in the Kitazawa and posses a vast selection of books, including the most recently published novels, American and English classic literature, topical books ranging from history to philosophy to politics, books on Japan and antiquarian books.

They also have bargain priced books on the trolleys outside the front door. Kitazawa is the best bookshop in all of the old bookseller's section of Jimbocho for tracking down English titles, both new and secondhand. Kitazawa has a tremendous selection of books in English on the premises. The selection includes novels, travel guides, maps, cookbooks, children's books, and Japanese language guides.

This is really interesting that store providing new and used books on just about every thing you can think of. The War/ Military section takes up most of the shop, and ties in with the models, stamps, and coins available to collectors.

They also have some books in French and German and quite a few in Arabic. The books start from 1200 to 5000 yen for large or older editions.

Hours: Monday to Saturday 10am to 6pm; closed holidays.
