The Rising Sun grew out of the dream of Jerry Hegarty. In late '70s Jerry plans on creating a Victorian- style pub in Tokyo. It is as reliably designed, built and operated as any in Britain.

The Rising Sun has been a place for the expatriate community and an international crossroads since 1974. It provides a mixture of genuine pub atmosphere and outstanding pub fare including the city's best shepherd's pie.

Being the “Tokyo's Oldest British Pub" it is always good for a night out. The servings are hearty and prices are reasonable. The diverse menu has something for everyone.

The décor is the fine blending of a warm, friendly pub atmosphere with great food, a broad selection of drinks and a cordial and helpful staff.

This lively joint is full of life with live music performances, theme nights and an overcrowded dance floor.

Asian music and dance tracks with Internet connected machines. 3,000yen with 2 drinks, girls don't have to pay entrance fee

Hours: 5:30p - Midnight Mon- Sat.
